ConvoZen deploys conversational AI for centre helpline monitoring

ConvoZen, has been selected by the Government of India to help monitor and analyse citizen helplines, marking a significant step in the adoption of AI for public service delivery. Developed in Bengaluru as an internal innovation at NoBroker, ConvoZen is among the top 30 start-ups chosen under the IndiaAI Mission, a joint initiative led by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to identify and scale impactful AI solutions.

ConvoZen stood out as the only conversational AI-focused start-up selected under this challenge. Originally built to manage NoBroker.com’s large-scale customer interactions, the platform has since been deployed across multiple industries including BFSI, healthcare, education, automotive, real estate, travel, and e-commerce. Its maturity as a market-ready product played a key role in its selection, according to Akhil Gupta, co-founder and Chief Product and Technology Officer at NoBroker and ConvoZen.

As part of the government engagement, ConvoZen will run proof-of-concept implementations across several government departments, working closely with the Department of Public Grievances. The platform will analyse voice-based interactions in real time, helping authorities understand what citizens are reporting, whether issues are being resolved, and where service gaps exist. ConvoZen’s technology audits, analyses, and automates conversations across calls, emails, and chat channels, bringing greater transparency, efficiency, and accountability to large-scale helpline operations.

In recognition of this work, ConvoZen has received a ₹25 lakh grant, presented by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. Beyond helpline monitoring, the company is also exploring participation in India’s Foundation Model initiative, which aims to build indigenous large language models. While other start-ups focus on multimodal foundation models, ConvoZen is doubling down on conversational intelligence, powering chatbots, voicebots, and interaction analytics tailored to Indian languages and use cases.

Overall, ConvoZen’s selection reflects a broader push by the Indian government to build homegrown AI infrastructure and apply it to governance, starting with understanding and improving how citizens’ voices are heard and addressed.
